Inner Space
‘Second façade’ is a concept based on creating private places in a public area. People appreciate privacy while waiting. The aim is to wonder and to distract the visitor inside the private space. In order to achieve this, Kim has designed wooden panels which are manual slidable. They can be used to exploit or to distract the light, it works like a sunblind. The private space is still in contact with his environment because of the possibility to refracted or steer light coming from the outside. It is up to the visitor to be distracted by the incoming light or to look for comfort by closing the wooden panels.
